Mission
In line with the
new mission of the City University of Hong Kong, the Wireless Communication
Research Center has fine-tuned its mission statements accordingly. On the
whole, there is no real change in subsistence, but a minor adjustment in
emphasis. In short, we are committed to keep it as one of the best research
centers of its kind in the Asia Pacific Rim, if not the world, by committing
ourselves in

carrying out
product-inspired applied researches that are relevant to the industries of
electronics and information engineering in the Greater Pearl River Delta;

sustaining our
strength in applied research by conducting curiosity-driven basic researches
in strategically selected areas in wireless communications;

engaging in
application-specific contract researches and consultancy projects for
industrial enterprises and commercial corporations; and
-
transferring the
results obtained in fundamental and applied researches to industry.
