Scholarships
To recognize outstanding performance of current students of MBA, EMBA and DBA programmes, the College of Business will establish the following Scholarships to sponsor these students to attend the 5-day Advanced Management Programme:
- Number of Scholarships
A total of 10 Scholarships will be established subject to approval of the University:
MBA Programme – up to 6 awards
EMBA Programme – up to 2 awards
DBA Programme – up to 2 awards
The Scholarships shall be used to settle the payment of the tuition fee for the Advanced Management Programme offered by College of Business in collaboration with Haas School of Business, UC-Berkeley. No cash will be given to a scholarship recipient. Award recipients should bear the costs for their own travel, accommodation, visa application and travel insurance etc.
- Eligibility for the Scholarships:
The Scholarships will be given to students in their first year or second year of studies of the respective programmes with outstanding academic performance according to the following allocation:
| (i) MBA Programme: |
up to 3 Scholarships for 1st year students and 3 Scholarships for 2nd year students |
| (ii) EMBA Programme: |
up to 1 Scholarship for 1st year students and 1 Scholarship for 2nd year students |
| (iii) DBA Programme: |
up to 1 Scholarship for 1st year students and 1 Scholarship for 2nd year students who have demonstrated outstanding performance in the taught part of the DBA programme |

Application

Announcement of Results
A selection panel will be formed to decide the recipients of the scholarships and successful applicants will be informed via email the latest by 10 July 2009.

Important Notes
- The University reserves the right to demand the scholarship recipients for refunding the scholarships, partially or in full, should they withdraw from the study at CityU or do not attend the Programme to which the scholarship is granted.
- All scholarship recipients should stay in the hotel arranged by the College of Business at CityU though the hotel cost will be the responsibility of the scholarship recipients.
- Those who have been awarded the scholarships for this Programme previously are not eligible to apply for the scholarships though they are welcome to join the Programme again if they wish to do so.
