This course provides students with the basic conceptual framework and practical expertise of financial planning. It will be taught by finance faculty from the EF Department and guest speakers with the overall aim of enhancing students’ whole-person development. It integrates various interdisciplinary areas such as behavioural psychology, economics, finance, accounting, law and human life cycle.
The course encourages students:
- to develop a sense of financial responsibility and a constructive, healthy attitude toward money management;
- to adopt a multi-disciplinary and whole-person perspective towards financial planning that encompasses knowledge from various disciplines, including economics, psychology, accounting, life cycling planning, and law; and
- to manage their own personal finances effectively with a view to achieving financial freedom and a better quality of life.
