Management Science (MS) is an all-encompassing field in which scientifically based principles, strategies and analytical methods are employed to solve business problems. This programme helps students develop their problem-solving and analytical skills via enabling technologies that are essential in managerial decision-making.
The acquisition of strong analytical and problem-solving skills ensures that our students enjoy great job placement and career advancement prospects. Our graduates have developed rewarding careers in a variety of industries such as business services, social and personal services, hospitality and tourism services, finance, manufacturing/service/retailing, transportation and logistics, insurance and government and trading.
To be eligible for admission to Advanced Standing I entry, you must satisfy CityU's General Entrance Requirements and have studied one of the following subjects at a high school or post-secondary institution:
An Associate Degree in a business-related discipline or an equivalent qualification.
For senior-year (Advanced Standing II) admission, applicants are normally expected to have completed an Associate Degree/Higher Diploma with a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of at least 3.0, or the equivalent. Preference may be given to applicants who have attained Level 4 or above in HKDSE English OR grade D or above in HKALE Use of English OR IELTS 6.5 or above. Departmental exchange programmes have been established with the Johannes Kepler University, the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences, the University of British Columbia and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock to broaden students’ international horizons and enhance their communication skills. All of the exchange universities feature a strong focus on international logistics and supply chain management. We also offer an internship programme that allows students to gain relevant work experience during their studies.

The BBA MS provides the essential education needed for logistics and supply chain management and within the service industry including wholesale, retail, import/export trades, restaurants, hotels, transport, storage, communications, financing, insurance, property and business services, community and social and personal services. These services have represented over 90% of the GDP by economic activity in Hong Kong in recent years.
